The Person Behind Photo4x4

Keith Hart is the man behind Photo 4x4 and he manages to combine just the right skills and interests to make him the ideal person for the job.

Professional photographer (Keith is the recommended photographer for the exclusive Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle) - Qualified Instructor - Qualified to the highest standards for on and off-road driving - Over 30 years experience living in and exploring the Scottish Highlands - a passionate interest in the Highlands, its people, places and wildlife - plus an enthusiasm for sharing his love of this remote and beautiful area.

Resident in Ross-Shire with his Highland born wife, Keith is pleased to be able to offer the Photo4x4 experience to visitors to the area. Keith’s philosophy on photography is twofold: firstly good photographs are dependant on the photographer, NOT the camera, and secondly, it is always worth making an extra effort to get that special photograph.

Keith says, “Of course using your camera correctly is important, but you do not need to be technical. The difference you can make to your photography with just a little thought is amazing. People feel so proud of themselves seeing the results of a day out with Photo 4x4.”

The day may involve driving along one of the old forest tracks to a spectacular ravine to catch a waterfall in full flood, or taking a boat out into one of the deep sea lochs on the west coast to photograph seals feeding as the tide turns. Or it could be looking for Golden Eagles soaring above a remote mountain pass.
